Colombia represents a refined selection from the mountainous Medellin region of Antioquia, sourced directly from dedicated smallholder farmers. This medium roast showcases a sophisticated flavor profile featuring notes of dried orange, berry, and chocolate, derived from a thoughtful blend of Castillo, Caturra, Colombia, and Typica varietals. Grown at elevations between 1300–1500 meters in nutrient-rich volcanic loam soil, these beans develop their distinctive character through meticulous cultivation and careful processing. Each lot is fully washed and dried using solar dryers, a method that preserves quality while protecting the harvest from moisture damage.
Brewing Instructions For optimal flavor extraction, we recommend brewing at 195–205°F. For pour-over or drip methods, use a 1:16 coffee-to-water ratio and brew for 3–4 minutes. For French press, steep for 4 minutes before plunging. Grind size should be medium—similar to sea salt—to ensure balanced extraction and bring out the full complexity of this exceptional Colombian coffee.
